On the water with The Captain
A golden-hour shoot on Moreton Bay with two photographers from The Captain magazine.
Two weeks before this was written, The Captain magazine put the call out for a chase boat on Moreton Bay: a vessel that could run alongside another boat and hold position while their photographers worked. I put my hand up.
It turned into one of the great days I have had on the water. Golden light across the bay, two very talented photographers on board, and Sea La Vie running tight alongside while they shot. Close quarters, quick turns, constant repositioning, which is exactly what an Axopar was built for.
Then they turned the cameras on Sea La Vie. The results are now in the gallery, and nothing in them was staged: it is the boat, the water and the light my guests get every charter.
What they were there to shoot that day will appear in an upcoming issue of The Captain. Until then, the gallery will have to do.
