There's no fixed route, and that's the point.
The morning you come aboard, Jeremy reads the wind, the tide and the light, and picks the best of the bay for that day.
Some days that's Moreton Island, which may include the great southern sand hills, the Tangalooma Wrecks alive with fish, or Bulwer in the north and its little Castaway Café. Amity and North Stradbroke are a different part of the bay, chosen according to the conditions: the sand cay at Amity Banks, and the quiet beach and garden pub at Amity Point. Beaches and sandbars are public places, so Jeremy simply chooses a quiet setting for the tide and the conditions on the day.
Wherever we land, the day is planned around your group, the conditions and the itinerary: snorkelling, a swim from the boat, a walk on a sandbar that won't be there at high tide, a French style lunch in the sun, and an eye out for the dolphins and turtles that share the bay. They are wild, so never guaranteed. Far niente is an art, and we're happy to teach it.
Where we leave from
New Farm Powerhouse. The Powerhouse pontoon, 119 Lamington Street, New Farm. Allow about 15 minutes down the river before you reach the bay.
Manly Boat Harbour. You meet the boat at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, 578 Royal Esplanade, Manly. Manly to Moreton Island is about 45 minutes, conditions permitting.
Scarborough Harbour, Redcliffe peninsula. Scarborough is available by arrangement for guests staying on the Redcliffe peninsula or in the northern bay. It is the same private charter, departing from Scarborough instead of Brisbane. Ask when you enquire so Jeremy can confirm timing and availability for your date.
Jeremy will recommend the departure that suits where we're headed, the tides and the wind, but if one is far easier for you, we'll leave from there.
One boat, priced by your group.
Every rate is for the whole boat, never per person, with no add-ons to chase. The standard rate applies on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Queensland public holidays. Midweek rates apply automatically to Monday to Thursday departures.

Per boat for two guests, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Queensland public holidays. $1,290 Monday to Thursday.
Up to 4 guests
Per boat for up to four guests, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Queensland public holidays. $1,690 Monday to Thursday.
Up to 7, the full boat
Per boat for up to seven guests, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Queensland public holidays. $2,200 Monday to Thursday.

No empty esky, no BYO list, nothing to organise. Every Sea La Vie day includes:
- The boat and your captain
- Exclusive private use of the boat, with no shared charters and no strangers. Captain Jeremy, owner-operator and marine scientist, hosts your whole day: 6 hours on the water with a flexible itinerary read to the day's conditions. Fuel and skipper included.
- Lunch and drinks
- A gourmet French-style picnic lunch of cured meats and prosciutto, smoked salmon, seasonal fruit and fresh pastries from local bakers, served on a sandbar (lobster rolls from Sea Salt available on request). A complimentary glass of champagne offered on arrival, plus organic juices, water and soft drinks.
- In the water
- All snorkelling gear, sized for your group, and towels. Marine-life guidance from someone who studies this bay.
- Before you board
- All route planning and logistics handled before you step aboard, and a quick guest form after booking covering swim confidence and gear sizes so everyone is fitted and safe. No per-person ferry or tour fees: the price is the whole boat.
Make a day of it: a professional photographer is available to join (partner-set rate). Everything else is already aboard.
What to bring
Swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, and a light jacket for the ride home. Towels, gear, lunch and champagne are all provided.
