Sea La Vie hosts one group at a time, up to seven guests, for six hours on Moreton Bay: snorkelling the Tangalooma Wrecks, wading onto sandbars that vanish with the tide, swimming with turtles and dolphins, and settling into a French-style table on the water. Your host is Captain Jeremy: owner, marine scientist (Conservation Biology, UQ), and the only crew you'll meet. Charters are priced per boat, never per person, from $1,390 for two.
What a private charter with Sea La Vie includes
Everything is aboard before you step on. Exclusive use of the boat for your group alone. Captain Jeremy hosting the whole day, with a marine-science background and more than a decade on the bay. A gourmet French-style picnic lunch served on a sandbar, with fresh pastries from local bakers. A complimentary glass of champagne, offered on arrival, plus organic juices, water and soft drinks. Snorkelling gear sized for each guest, towels, fuel, and all route planning read to the day's conditions. There is no BYO list and nothing to organise. You bring your favourite people; the rest is handled.
Departing Manly Boat Harbour or New Farm
Charters depart from Manly Boat Harbour, about 45 minutes from the Brisbane CBD with easy parking, or from the New Farm Powerhouse pontoon in the inner city. We confirm the departure point that suits your group when you book. From Manly, the crossing to Moreton Island takes about 45 minutes on a fast, stable Axopar, not a slow ferry.

Whale season, honestly
From June to November, humpback whales move along the coast and through the bay. Sea La Vie is not a whale watching tour and does not sell whale sightings: dedicated whale watch operations in Moreton Bay Marine Park require a separate, capped authority. What we can promise is this: if whales appear during your private day, we follow Queensland's approach rules to the letter, engines off or gears disengaged when a whale chooses to come close, and Captain Jeremy will tell you exactly what you are seeing. Yes. One booking per charter. The boat is reserved for your group alone, every time.
How many people can come?
Up to seven guests, the maximum under our commercial survey. The price covers the boat, not a head count.
Where do we go?
The itinerary follows the best conditions on the day: Moreton Island and the Tangalooma Wrecks, or Amity and North Stradbroke, sometimes both. Nothing is fixed except that the day is yours.
What if the weather turns?
If the captain calls it off, you choose a new date or a full refund. We never run a poor day.
