Photography and production boat hire, Moreton Bay

When The Captain magazine needed a chase boat on Moreton Bay, this is the boat they hired and the captain they trusted at close quarters. If you need a camera platform on the bay or the Brisbane River, the same boat, the same skipper and the same local knowledge are available for your shoot.

The work the boat is set up for

Chase boat and on-water support

Running tight alongside another vessel for hull and lifestyle footage: quick turns, held position, constant repositioning. The Axopar hull was built for exactly this, and it is the job The Captain magazine hired us for.

Editorial and brand shoots

A stable platform with 360-degree water access, uncluttered decks for gear, and a captain who knows where the bay photographs well at every hour and tide. Golden hour positioning planned, not improvised.

Waterfront real estate

The angles land and drones cannot get: waterfront property from the water, at the right tide, in the right light, with the skyline or the bay behind. Fast repositioning between properties along the river and the bayside suburbs.

Wildlife and documentary work

A marine scientist at the helm who reads animal behaviour and follows the approach rules without being asked. Sightings are never promised; patience, local knowledge and correct distances are.

How a shoot day works

Send the shot list and Captain Jeremy plans the day backwards from the light: tides, wind shelter, anchorages and travel time between setups. Departure from Manly Boat Harbour or New Farm, whichever suits your call sheet. The boat carries your crew and gear with dry storage under the hard top, 12V and USB power at the helm, a swim platform and ladder for water entries, and a hull stable enough to hold a long lens on.

Every production charter is private: your crew, your schedule, nobody else aboard. Half-day and full-day rates are quoted per job (weekday dates are the most flexible), and repeat production work is welcome. Read the story of the day that started this service in On the water with The Captain, or see the frames their photographers made from and of the boat in the gallery.
